MIRIAM

Miriam was the older sister of Moses and Aaron and one of the Bible's first prophetesses. As a young girl, she courageously watched over her baby brother when he was placed in the Nile River, helping reunite him with their mother. Years later, after God delivered the Israelites through the Red Sea, Miriam led the women in worship with singing and dancing. Although she was a faithful leader, she also experienced the consequences of pride when she challenged Moses' authority. Miriam's story reminds us that God values humble leadership, joyful worship, and faithful obedience.
